Ayurvedic consultations

It’s all about balance.

According to Indian medicine, the first step toward well-being is knowing and understanding who we are and our innate constitution, known as *Prakriti*.

Balancing the three *doshas* is essential. Our Ayurvedic practitioner will assess your balance or imbalance and determine whether you are primarily Vata, Pitta, or Kapha.

What is crucial in Ayurveda is prevention!

All the attention and intentions of Ayurveda aim to awaken the innate intelligence of the body and mind, restoring their natural ability to prevent illness and maintain joy and serenity. Care is taken to create an environment where disease has no hold, to strengthen the body's natural defenses, and to stimulate the processes of eliminating toxins and impurities in order to preserve health.

What is the goal of the Ayurvedic consultation?

Ayurveda views each person as unique. Consequently, by understanding our fundamental constitution and adopting an appropriate lifestyle, we can lead a healthy and happy life.

A consultation allows you to identify underlying constitutional imbalances—whether physical or mental—and discover the remedies needed to restore balance.

Your Ayurvedic consultation begins with a questionnaire, which is invaluable for your first visit. It provides the Ayurvedic practitioner with insight into who you are and how best to assist you.

Please complete the questionnaire calmly and honestly; the more the practitioner learns about your state of mind and general health, the better they can guide you and provide precise recommendations.

Your initial in-person consultation will last approximately an hour and a half. During the first stage of the consultation, the expert advisor will ask detailed questions about your medical history, family history, lifestyle, habits, diet, and past life events that have influenced your mental and physical health. Following this, your pulse, tongue, nails, eyes, and skin will be thoroughly examined based on the eight Ayurvedic diagnostic methods.

At the end of the examination, the practitioner will determine your *Prakriti* (fundamental constitution) and assess whether there is any *Vikriti* (imbalance in that constitution). The Ayurvedic practitioner will then create a personalized plan to restore balance to your *doshas* by addressing their root causes using various therapeutic tools, such as:

  • Ayurvedic treatments and massages
  • lifestyle guidelines (daily rhythms, schedules, activities)
  • diet, including the use of spices or herbal supplements
  • physical exercise
  • mind and emotion control exercises: breathing or *pranayama*, relaxation, meditation, visualization, and other yoga-based practices

Finally, the Ayurvedic doctor or expert will explain whether a follow-up consultation is necessary to achieve optimal health outcomes.
